KCHS Junior, Tierney Scullin, was given the title “Junior Official,” and found the information through Leah Ann Williams. She attended clinics every weekend for six weeks to learn and understand how to be an official. She is looking forward to officiating games in the fall!
Besides being an official at such a young age Tierney is also involved in many other things. She plays basketball, tennis, and volleyball. Tierney is very involved in Action Club with Sister Margaret, which embodies the Kennedy motto “Christo Servire.” She enjoys working with Sister and helping our community. She is always willing to help out in any way with her school. She is also a member of the Self-Care Club, which gave students a place to relax and reflect when feeling overwhelmed.
Tierney was a recipient of the academic excellence award in school and is an incredible scholar athlete. She enjoys growing and learning academically, athletically, and spiritually. She works on her self-improvement goals every day.
Tierney says, “I take pride in my hard work ethic, which was encouraged by my parents. I have carried it throughout my academic career at Saint Michael School and Kennedy Catholic. The teachers at Kennedy are great educators and are always ready and willing to help when I need it. I earned academic excellence my freshman and sophomore years. I have maintained 100% or over in my high school classes. My goal for junior year is to be inducted into the National Honors Society.”
