Advanced Placement and Honors Classes
Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors classes at Kennedy Catholic Family of Schools are designed for academically gifted, high-above-average, and highly motivated students. Admission to these courses is by invitation, based on standardized testing, academic performance, and department recommendations. Our AP courses are approved by the National Advanced Placement program, providing students the opportunity to earn college credit. These challenging courses foster academic excellence and prepare students for higher education.
College Preparatory Classes
The College Preparatory level at Kennedy Catholic Family of Schools is designed for strong-average to above-average students. This program aims to challenge and prepare students for college admission and success through a well-rounded liberal arts education at the secondary level.
General Academic/Studies Courses
General academic studies at Kennedy Catholic Family of Schools encompass courses not designated as College Preparatory (CP), Honors (HN), or Advanced Placement (AP). These include various general elective classes aimed at providing students with fundamental knowledge and skills. The goal is to equip students for career, technical, or trade education, as well as further education at a junior college level.
High School Graduation Requirements
To advance to the next grade at Kennedy Catholic Family of Schools, students must earn a minimum of 7 credits per year. A total of 28 credits is required for graduation.
