The Kennedy Catholic Family of Schools is seeking Music and Instrument teacher applications for all grade levels, for St John Paul II Elementary School and Kennedy Catholic Middle School. Letters of interest along with resumes and any related documentation should be submitted.

In the music teacher role, you will prepare and implement the lesson plan for students throughout the school year. You will be expected to engage with students and foster an interactive learning environment. Success in this role will be demonstrated by executing creative teaching strategies to see advancements in your students’ musical talents.

Music Teacher Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Plans and implements the lesson plan
• Teaches music courses
• Leads rehearsals for musical programs and weekly masses
• Grades written and practical examinations
• Records student grades and attendance
• Mentors students

Music Teacher Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior experience in teaching
• Bachelor’s degree in Music
• Must be licensed to teach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Determined and dependable
• Passionate about music
